Found a Pet? Friendly-Finder Can Help.
The Friendly-Finder Program helps community members temporarily care for found pets while their owners are being located and, when needed, through the pet’s scheduled shelter intake. Keeping a found pet in a safe home reduces shelter crowding and stress while giving the animal more time to reunite with its family, connect with a rescue, or find an adopter.
Nacogdoches Animal Shelter and Paws4Nac provide guidance and support throughout the process. Eligible Friendly-Finder fosters may also receive supplies, basic shelter care, and approved veterinary care.

What to Do During the First 72 Hours
